Baron Jacopo leads a comfortable life, yet one tormented by the desire for an heir, until the arrival of the young revolutionary Leonardo upsets the balance of his existence. Drawn into the couple’s dynamic as a game, Leonardo becomes the lover of Jacopo’s wife (Anna Galiena).
