In an isolated farmhouse lives a family that strictly follows the Old Testament Scriptures, led by an authoritarian father and an inflexible grandmother. The three girls, who have never left the property, are forced to confess every thought and gesture in the family’s daily ritual. The arrival of a young nephew upsets the balance, awakening forbidden emotions in the girls and choices that will change their destiny.
At the seventh minute, we see Grace Ambrose naked in the bathtub in a brief sequence. At the forty-sixth minute, Francesca Carrain makes out with a man against a wall while someone spies on them. At the seventy-seventh minute, Grace Ambrose is sitting in the bathtub for the umpteenth time. A man approaches her and shortly afterwards they are having sex. Suddenly, another man enters the room and stares at them in shock for a few moments.
