In the psychological thriller All I See Is You, Blake Lively plays Gina, a nearly blind woman who regains her sight through state-of-the-art surgery. The film explores Gina’s transformation as she discovers new aspects of herself, her sexuality and her marriage, while her husband struggles to accept his new independence.
“It’s the performance I’m most proud of,” Blake Lively told Vanity Fair.
Her team had not even let her read the script, assuming Blake would reject it because of the nude scenes. But when the actress read the script, she instantly fell in love with the film, nude scenes included. The way Forster had written it actually changed Blake’s opinion about on-screen nudity, which she finds distracting.
Director Marc Forster adopts an experimental visual style, with intimate scenes requiring Lively to appear nude for the first time on the big screen. The actress fell in love with the script, considering this performance to be the most significant of her career.
