Cabala – Le vergini del fuoco is the pilot episode of an urban fantasy anthology series that, unfortunately, was never produced. Two young vestal virgins (Gea Dall’Orto and Mihaela Dorlan) find themselves having to balance their sacred vow to guard the Flame of Life, which must be kept burning on full moon nights, and their vow to preserve their virginity, with the challenges of a perfectly ordinary high school life.
At the beginning of the episode, Gea Dall’Orto and Mihaela Dorlan stand before a fire burning on an altar, while a group of women dance around them. The two girls let their white tunics fall to the ground and remain totally naked, while a priestess says something to them. At the six-minute mark, we see the two naked actresses next to the altar again. This time they are alone, and Mihaela lights a cigarette with a burning stick. She takes a few puffs, then passes it to Gea, who inhales and coughs. At the thirteen-minute mark, Gea Dall’Orto and Mihaela Dorlan are once again naked next to the altar. Mihaela is standing and watching the fire, while Gea is sitting on a step. At the end of the episode, the two girls are still in front of the fire. This time, they are kissing.
