The film Crystal Heart follows the story of Benny, a guy forced to live isolated in a sterile room since childhood due to a serious illness that makes him vulnerable to germs. To feel less lonely, Benny strikes up a pen pal relationship with rock singer Alley (Tawny Kitaen), who is struck by his sensitivity. When she decides to meet him, the distance between their worlds tests the fragile emotional balance of both, forcing them to come to terms with their desires, limitations, and expectations.
