El patio de mi cárcel (AKA My Prison Yard) is a Spanish film inspired by the Yeses theater group, founded in 1985 in the former Yeserías prison. The story follows Isa (Verónica Echegui), a robber unable to adapt to life outside prison, and her fellow inmates: a Gypsy woman who killed her husband, a fragile prostitute, and a Colombian woman lost in a world she doesn’t understand. The arrival of a prison guard who cannot adapt to the prison’s strict rules will prompt the women to form a theater group that will give them the strength to face the difficulties of their lives
