During the production of the first Evil Bong, Charles Band had already begun developing ideas for a sequel. In 2009, Evil Bong 2: King Bong was released, in which the survivors of the first film set off on an expedition into the South American jungle in search of the source of their curse. Here they must face an ancient Amazonian deity, the giant King Bong, in a psychedelic trip involving indigenous tribes and absurd situations.
