In F.T.W. (AKA The Last Ride), rodeo cowboy Frank T. Welles is released from prison after ten years and, with the help of his Native American friend Bucky Miller, tries to rebuild his life by buying a mare and heading back to his old home. During the journey, he meets Scarlett Stuart (Lori Singer), a young woman traumatized by her criminal past alongside her brother, left alone after a violent robbery that ended in tragedy. A fragile alliance develops between the two, as Frank offers her shelter and confides in her about the controversial circumstances that led to his conviction.
