Set in Miami’s Cuban community, the film follows Nestor, a recently released political prisoner, who reunites with his wife Isabel (Greta Scacchi), who fled the island after his arrest. In his absence, Isabel was rescued at sea by Sam, a fisherman who became her confidant. Nestor’s return rekindles conflicting feelings and upsets the fragile balance between the three.
