In Wyoming in 1890, wealthy landowners organize a manhunt against hundreds of poor European immigrants, drawing up a veritable death list. Sheriff Jim Averill tries to protect the community, but finds himself caught up in a love triangle with the charming Ella (Isabelle Huppert) and the mercenary Nate. The tension between the two factions inevitably escalates into a violent and tragic armed clash.
At the 71-minute mark, Isabelle Huppert and a man are sitting at the table for dinner. While he eats, she undresses and remains topless. He laughs; she stands up, finishes undressing, and runs toward the bedroom. He follows her, and the two begin to playfully wrestle under the covers. Shortly afterward, Isabelle is standing in the courtyard, with a woolen blanket wrapped around her body, her nipples visible, and she talks with the man until a group of other women emerges from a house. At the 79th minute, the actress shows us a full-frontal nude scene while bathing in a river. At the 106th minute, Isabelle undresses in front of a mirror, then lies face-down on the bed next to a man sitting on the mattress.
