Howling IV: The Original Nightmare

Howling IV: The Original Nightmare is the fourth installment in a saga that began in 1981 with The Howling. Released directly to home video, it does not follow the events of the third installment and is instead a rewriting of the original novel that gave rise to the saga. A successful writer, tormented by visions and hallucinations, is sent by her husband to recover in an isolated cottage in the small town of Drago. The disturbing howls coming from the woods at night and her encounter with a former nun investigating the mysterious disappearance of a friend begin to reveal a dark truth about the local residents.
