Il Dio dell’Amore is a collective exploration of romantic relationships—an ironic, lighthearted, yet bittersweet story about humanity caught up in the chaos of emotions. All the characters are connected by a dense web of fates guided by the capricious God of Love, an entity who is at times gentle and at times combative. Guiding the viewer on this journey is the poet Ovid, who has returned from Imperial Rome to our present day.
At the six-minute mark, Chiara Ferrara has sex in bed with a man in a sequence that is unfortunately too brief, with her on top of him, topless. At the twelve-minute mark, Benedetta Cimatti is lying in bed wearing a semi-transparent bra. Under the covers, a man is performing oral sex on her, and she moans with pleasure. Less than a minute later, the scene repeats itself. The bra is a different color, and the actress isn’t aroused at all. At the 97-minute mark, Benedetta has sex with a man on the couch. It’s an intriguing scene, but she isn’t naked.
