The miniseries Irma Vep is written and directed by Olivier Assayas and is based on his 1996 film of the same name. Mira (Alicia Vikander), a Hollywood star disillusioned with her career and a recent breakup, arrives in Paris to play Irma Vep in a remake of the French silent film classic, Les Vampires. Creative chaos reigns on set, with a director in crisis and a production on the brink of collapse. As filming progresses, the line between the woman and the character she plays grows increasingly blurred.
