Pomme (Isabelle Huppert), a young, shy hairdresser, falls in love with François, a middle-class student she meets at the beach. He leaves her because she doesn’t fit into his intellectual circle, and she ends up in a psychiatric clinic. François finds her again, but by then she has retreated into silence.
At the third minute, we see Florence Giorgetti naked. She is in the bathroom running hot water into the tub. A woman enters and speaks with her. At the 62-minute mark, Isabelle Huppert naked washes her hands in a small sink while a man watches her from a bed. At the 79-minute mark, the naked actress walks toward a man with his back turned who is looking out a window. As she turns toward the camera, she reveals a full-frontal nude.
