Angela (Greta Scacchi) returns to Sicily for her father’s funeral and, during the ferry trip, meets Salvo, a guy convinced that he is being hunted by the mafia for stealing drugs. She decides to give him a ride and the two embark on an unexpected journey marked by fear and mistrust. As time passes, the young man’s romantic interest becomes increasingly evident.
