At the prehistoric site of Atapuerca, the body of young Eva Santos (María Marnez) is found, killed according to an ancient ritual identical to that of an unsolved case six years earlier. To reopen the investigation, two detectives, Silvia Guzmán (Blanca Suárez) and Daniel Velarde, are called back. They were once lovers but are deeply scarred by the failure of the first case.
