A nurse (Jill Jacobson) is possessed by an evil spirit and begins killing hospital patients. Nurse Sherri has a chaotic distribution history: shot by Al Adamson in 16mm, it was deemed weak by producer Sam Sherman, who ordered extensive reshoots in 35mm and a new edit. This resulted in two main versions: the 89-minute Horror Cut, focused on possession, and the shorter 84-minute Exploitation Cut, featuring nude actresses at the expense of narrative coherence. The recent restoration adds complexity: the 16mm negatives are lost and the HD version is derived from a 35mm blow-up, with significant variations in quality. The modern edition favors the extended horror version, excluding the sexy inserts added by subsequent distributors and resulting in a more complete technical product, but lacking some sequences that circulated in old VHS and bootleg copies.
