Elisa (Barbara Cupisti) and Karl are about to steal a shirt from a department store at closing time, but Karl goes to get the car and Elisa witnesses the murder of Mara (Loredana Romito) in the dark. Commissioner Marra begins the investigation thanks to the only witness, only to discover that Elisa is blind. When a policewoman assigned to protect her (Mary Sellers) is killed, the case becomes more complicated and a tense relationship of hatred and attraction develops between Marra and Elisa. Testimone oculare (AKA Eyewitness) is one of four films in the Alta tensione (High Voltage) television series, made in the late 1980s but broadcast only ten years later. The other three are Il maestro del terrore, L’uomo che non voleva morire and Il Gioko.
