After moving into an old house, Emma Callan develops severe agoraphobia and becomes convinced that she is being stalked by a disturbing doppelgänger hiding in the attic. Isolated from her family and forced to interrupt her studies, she comes into conflict with her father and is treated by a psychotherapist. Only Detective John Trevor takes her story seriously and helps her investigate what is threatening her safety.
