Two Peruvian twin brothers living in New York without legal status both fall in love with Kristin (Tara Thaller), a Croatian girl with a mysterious past, while their mother Raffaella pursues the American dream by selling burritos in the Bronx, encouraged by a Swiss novelist. When Kristin commits a murder and the police raid the apartment, the two brothers are wrongfully charged and face deportation. It falls to Raffaella to uncover the truth by piecing together her sons’ secret lives bit by bit.
