To Love a Boy (2019)

In the music video for her song To Love a Boy , Maya Hawke takes us into a nostalgic and surreal fairy tale in which, dressed in a classic blue-and-white striped sailor shirt and a mermaid tail, she literally ends up stranded on dry land, delicately and with a touch of irony conveying the feeling of being completely out of place when searching for love.
At the three-minute mark, Maya Hawke is singing in a close-up superimposed over another scene, in which she is walking toward the sea while undressing. We see her totally naked, shot from behind, as she plunges into the waves.
