Tommaso is an American artist living in Rome with his wife Nikki (Cristina Chiriac) and their three-year-old daughter, torn between an unstable relationship and a daily life made up of teaching, studying, and ties to the city. His wife’s desire to redefine their marriage conflicts with the simple balance that Tommaso has built, fueled by his love for his daughter and his relationships with the locals. His artistic sensibility and unresolved past open up a complex inner space, where spirituality, visions, and identity intertwine in the condition of eternal foreignness.
