The life of acclaimed poet Paul Verlaine takes a turn when he meets the young and unpredictable Arthur Rimbaud, an emerging literary talent of the 19th century. After reading his verses, Verlaine invites him to live with him and his wife Mathilde (Romane Bohringer) in Paris, transforming a collaboration into an increasingly intense friendship. Amid creative fragility, addictions, conflicts, and overwhelming passions, the two poets end up sharing a relationship made up of love, desire, inspiration, and pain.
