Amy (Julie Davis) is a 29-year-old, single girl and successful author with the book “Why Love Doesn’t Work,” a self-help manual for women without partners. Amy has not had sex in four years and gets a lot of advice from her publicist, her best friends (a married couple), her parents, and a priest to whom she goes to confession. One day she starts dating Matthew, a chauvinistic playboy from Los Angeles. Each of Amy’s theories and rules is put to the test.
