Set in the 1970s, Beautiful Ohio follows the life of a family. The husband is an insurance salesman. The wife is a woman who loves to read and correct the grammar of those who speak to her. They have two sons. One is a young maths genius who prefers to spend his time playing rock music, the other a simple guy. In the basement of their house lives the lovely Sandra (Michelle Trachtenberg) who is trying to stay away from her abusive parents.
