De bruit et de fureur (AKA Sound and Fury) describes the misery of neglected children in big cities. Bruno is a child from a good family, but since the death of his grandmother he spends most of his time alone in an imaginary world while his mother is at work. One day he befriends the violent Jean-Roger, who comes from a severely disturbed family where no one cares what he is doing.
