Shot in Alicante in 1981, El sexo está loco (AKA Sex is crazy) is probably director Jesús Franco’s craziest film. It is an experimental erotic film that defies traditional narrative conventions. The director freely weaves disparate scenes played by a small group of actors in multiple roles. Franco constantly breaks the fourth wall, inserting himself and crew into the film, thus emphasizing the fictional nature of the work and creating a unique and transgressive cinematic experience. There is still a plot, albeit a chaotic one. Four aliens visit Earth to repopulate their planet, rapidly reproducing with Earth women. At the same time, espionage intrigue over a secret microfilm takes place, while two couples experiment with “quad marriage” as a solution to existential problems.

They embrace and kiss. In the thirty-fourth minute the director shows us Gloria Menéndez having sex with a man on the balcony of the house and Laura García having sex in a bed. In the next scene Lina Romay and Lynn Endersson have a foursome with two men. There is another foursome four minutes later. The four have sex in various positions. In the 51st minute Lina undresses Lynn, then the two actresses lie together on the bed and give us a long lesbian sequence. At the sixty-sixth minute Lina Romay is lying naked on the bed and simulates a blowjob with a water bottle.
