Goldilocks and the Three Bares

Directed By: Herschell Gordon Lewis

Nudometer:
Goldilocks and the Three Bares is considered the first nudist musical, shot in “Buffocolor” and “Seemorescope.” The flimsy plot takes place half in a nudist camp, although the director goes to great efforts not to show us full-frontal nudes (this is the early 1960s, still quite prudish). The undisputed star is Louise Downe, credited as Vickie Miles. Louise was the wife of the film’s director, Herschell Gordon Lewis.
For the first 45 minutes nothing intriguing happens, then Louise Downe takes off her clothes to enter a nudist resort. A moment later, she and Judy Parsons (credited as Jean Clyde) are both naked and walking around among the nudists at the resort. From this moment there are only nudists for at least half an hour. Naked people riding horses, joking around in the pool, taking boat rides, etc. Sounds like a documentary about nudism in the 1960s. Anyway, nothing to complain about.
