Honey Boy recounts the childhood and adolescence of Otis, a young actor marked by a complicated relationship with his father, a violent and unstable former rodeo clown. Alternating between past and present, the film shows how Otis, now an adult, tries to come to terms with the traumas of his youth during a rehabilitation program. Written by Shia LaBeouf, the film is inspired by his own life and stars him in the role of his father.
