L’amour dure trois ans (AKA Love Lasts Three Years) is a look at the dissolution of a marriage. Marc and Anne (Louise Bourgoin) love each other, get married, but three years later, after boredom and jealousy, Anne asks for a divorce. Marc is devastated and sinks into the comforts offered by his job, literary critic by day and social columnist by night with his libertine friends.
The film includes two intriguing sequences featuring Louise Bourgoin nude. In the first, the actress is lying in bed topless and chatting with a guy. In the second Louise is also lying in bed, but this time she is having sex with a man.
