Denis Diderot, an Enlightenment philosopher, engages in libertine practices with his aristocratic circle at Baron Holbach’s estate, leading to scandalous situations, including posing nude for a painter, Madame Therbouche. Amidst encounters with the Cardinal and revelations of secrets, Diderot’s experiences challenge his moral views and influence his writings on morality.
The film shows more naked actors than actresses, but fortunately for us, in the 64th minute we admire Audrey Tautou naked in a swimming pool. Vahina Giocante joins her. The actress wears a dressing gown and takes it off to enter the water, showing us a fabulous full-frontal nude. In the following scene Françoise Lépine is lying naked waiting for a massage.
