An eccentric scientist, researching a cure for cancer in the Amazon jungle, enlists the help of an assistant (Lorraine Bracco) and a gas chromatographer. He initially refuses the assistant’s cooperation because she is a woman, but as the bulldozers approach they learn to work together and fall in love.
