At John Hughes High School, the students embody all the typical clichés of teen movies. Popular jock Jake accepts a bet: to transform clumsy Janey into prom queen, but his wicked sister Catherine and cheerleader Priscilla stand in his way. They are surrounded by exaggerated and parodic characters, from provocative friends to bizarre outcasts, to the inevitable reporter disguised as a student.
