In the Korean film Oldboy (original title Oldeuboi), Oh Dae-Su is kidnapped and locked up without explanation in a windowless room, where he remains a prisoner for fifteen years. Sedated and isolated, he can only watch TV and wonder who condemned him to this nightmare. When he is suddenly freed, he begins a relentless hunt for the truth and his mysterious tormentor.
