The plot follows the story of David, a shy physics student at the University of Pisa, whose ordinary life is completely turned upside down by his encounter with the young activist Viola (Violante Placido). After joining a student protest group, he finds himself swept up in the dynamics of the movement and the preparations for the G8 protests in Genoa.
