The 1981 film Possession, directed by Andrzej Żuławski, is a surreal and disturbing work that explores the deterioration of a marriage. The story follows Anna (Isabelle Adjani) and Mark, a couple in crisis in West Berlin, as their relationship spirals into madness, betrayal, and supernatural events.

In the 19th minute a man undresses Isabelle, then helps her get into bed. When the actress is lying naked on the mattress he lifts the sheet to cover her. In the fifty-sixth minute Isabelle Adjani naked lies on the bed next to a man. The two talk and laugh. At the ninety-ninth minute Isabelle is lying on the floor, topless, next to a man. When she gets up she buttons her dress to cover her breasts.
