Hilda Isabel Gorrindo Sarli was probably the greatest Argentine sex symbol. Also known as Coca Sarli, she was a glamorous actress and model, as well as Miss Argentina in 1955. The director Armando Bo made her debut in the film El trueno entre las hojas (AKA Thunder Among the Leaves) in 1956. Thanks to a controversial scene with Isabel Sarli nude, this was the first Argentine film to have a frontal nudity. Isabel Sarli became Armando Bo's muse (and lover) and starred in several of his films. The actress retired in 1981 after the death of her husband.
