The body of a man is found on the beach of Barcelona. The man has a face eaten by fish and a tattoo on his arm: “He nacido para revolucionar el infierno” (I was born to revolutionize hell). To understand the meaning of this tattoo you must first understand who this man is. The task is entrusted to Pepe Carvalho, a Galician detective who loves women and food.
The director Bigas Luna made the first film dedicated to this character born from the imagination of the great writer Manuel Vázquez Montalbán.
