The Advocate (AKA The Hour of the Pig) is set in medieval France. Young lawyer Richard Courtois leaves Paris for the simpler life in the countryside. However, he soon becomes embroiled in amorous and political intrigue. In addition, he is driven to defend a pig, owned by the mysterious gypsy woman Samira (Amina Annabi). The pig is arrested for the murder of a guy.
