The Merchant of Four Seasons (original title is Händler der vier Jahreszeiten) is set in Munich, in 1950.
Hans is a self-destructive man and his life does not satisfy him. Hans tries to find meaning in his work, but a heart attack prevents him from working; his dissatisfaction becomes despair.
