Dante Balestra, an unconventional philosophy professor, returns to Rome to teach at a high school, facing problematic students and distrustful colleagues, while trying to rebuild his relationship with his son Simone, whom he discovers is involved in risky situations. His lessons, inspired by the great philosophers, become tools to guide the students through identity, love, and moral choices. At the same time, family secrets and emotional tensions emerge, testing his fragile personal balance.
