Vacanze di Natale 90, released seven years after the first Vacanze di Natale, takes up the Christmas setting and the theme of meet-cutes between characters from different social backgrounds. In a luxury hotel in St. Moritz, the vicissitudes of various characters intertwine: an Apulian restaurateur who pretends to be mute to win over an aristocratic woman; a husband oppressed by his rich wife who plots an unlikely murder; a sleigh racer involved in a love triangle; and a hang gliding instructor grappling with sentimental deception.
