During World War II, the United States establishes several military bases in Britain. The locals dislike American soldiers because they often make advances on British girls. Some of them have husbands and boyfriends who left for war.
We follow a couple of these clandestine love stories. One involves the aristocratic Helen (Vanessa Redgrave), and the other the beautiful Jean (Lisa Eichhorn). The two actresses give us a couple of interesting nude scenes.
