In the first season of 24, federal agent Jack Bauer has twenty-four hours to foil an assassination attempt on Senator David Palmer, a candidate for the presidency of the United States. While trying to protect Palmer, Jack discovers a conspiracy linked to his past and finds himself forced to endanger his own family. The entire season takes place in real time, with each episode representing one hour of the same dramatic day.
