Al Pereira vs. the Alligator Ladies is the last complete film by director Jesús Franco. After nearly a decade away from the big screen and a period devoted to low-budget direct-to-video productions, the Spanish filmmaker returns with a new work. At the center of the story, Al Pereira, once a dissolute private detective, finds in conflict with himself: between a new conservative morality and the lure of a life of excess, complicated by encounters with unscrupulous “alligators” sent by his father.
