Carol tells the story of the forbidden love affair between Therese (Rooney Mara), a young saleswoman and aspiring photographer, and Carol (Cate Blanchett), an elegant woman in marital crisis in 1950s New York. As the two women grow closer, they face social prejudice and painful choices.
In the seventy-fourth minute Rooney Mara is sitting in front of a mirror. Cate Blanchett approaches from behind, leans in, and kisses her. The women get up and Rooney lies down on the bed. Cate opens her robe to reveal her breasts. The girls kiss again, then Cate pulls down her robe and shows side of her breasts. Shortly afterwards Cate performs oral sex on Rooney. In the eighty-third minute Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett kiss lying in bed, then fall asleep in each other’s arms.
