Sid Carter leads a criminal gang planning to steal contraceptive pills from Finisham Hospital. His son Cyril reluctantly infiltrates disguised as a nurse, but falls in love with Susan (Barbara Windsor), who is a real nurse, and unwittingly becomes a hero. As the hospital staff faces comical situations and misunderstandings, the criminal plan fails. To avoid scandal, the hospital covers up Cyril’s deception, who eventually marries Susan. Carry On Matron is one of 31 films in the “Carry On” series and one of the few that feature situations with nude actresses.
