Cocoon

Directed By: Eiko Ishioka

Nudometer:
Cocoon is a song by Björk, released as the third and final single from the album Vespertine (2001), on which it is also the second track. The video, directed by Eiko Ishioka, was almost as controversial as that of the previous single, Pagan Poetry, and was censored on many broadcasters. It shows Björk apparently naked, with a red thread emerging from her nipples and enveloping her like a cocoon, a visual metaphor for intimacy and protection within a loving relationship. The singer wears a semi-transparent jumpsuit that shows her breasts but hides her bush.
