In Der Fan (AKA The Fan), a teenage girl (Désirée Nosbusch), obsessed with a pop star named R, lives for her idol, dreaming of a meeting that will give meaning to her existence. Her devotion grows increasingly intense and disturbing. When their paths finally cross, reality turns out to be very different from her expectations.
