Dickinson (Season 1)

Directed By: Alena Smith

Nudometer:
Emily Dickinson (Hailee Steinfeld), a young rebellious poet in 19th-century Amherst, challenges rigid social and family conventions about the role of women, art, and love. Her boundless imagination allows her to converse with Death and find her poetic voice. The series mixes modern anachronisms and historical references to tell the story of a literary icon’s adolescence.
There’s no nudity in this first season, but if you like girls kissing, you might enjoy it. Sixteen minutes into the first episode, Ella Hunt and Hailee Steinfeld share a sapphic kiss in the rain. The two girls kiss again twenty-one minutes into the third episode. This time they are sitting on the floor in a room, with their backs against the edge of a bed. Two minutes later, Gus Birney wears a dress with a very generous cleavage.
